The Board
With deep aloha, we welcome Laird Hamilton and Dave Kalama as honorary Beautiful Son Foundation board members. World famous extreme water sports athletes, Laird and Dave are big wave surfers with big hearts. They helped raise money & awareness for the making of Beautiful Son by paddling and biking the length of the Hawaiian islands, as documented in the film "Path of Purpose". They continue to show their support and love for Hawaii’s children with autism.
Laird is working directly with a company called H2O Audio, the innovator of waterproof sport headphones and
accessories. A portion of all proceeds from sales of the Laird Hamilton Signature Series Waterproof Headphones goes to support Beautiful Son Foundation.

The Foundation was started by filmmakers Don & Julianne King who created the movie Beautiful Son, a personal story of their family’s journey to find help & healing for their son Beau. They established Beautiful Son Foundation as a non-profit, 501c(3) with the help of a group of local parents who share a vision to help families access treatments for children with autism in Hawaii.
With Autism affecting 1 in 150 children, finding solutions is an urgent priority. Children in Hawaii have a particularly difficult time accessing treatments due to geographic isolation & costs.
The Beautiful Son Foundation’s mission is to educate and help Hawaii families find and fund treatments for Autism Spectrum Disorders. |
